Question:
I have an iPhone and I have a MAC Desktop....I would like to be able to have the MAC Desktop "watching" my animals at home and be able to view that stream thru my iPhone while I am at work. Is there a device to do this and how do I proceed?

Sure. I use a Panasonic WiFi camera and Security Spy software. In addition to he the iSight camera on my iMac, I have 2 of the Panasonic camera's which allow my to view 3 different views in and around my home anywhere in the world on my iPhone or on the internet using. On the iPhone I use the iCam app.
If you just want to use the camera on the desktop Mac, you could do that with just the free iCam software for your iPhone.

I have the same problem as this person had with iSight. It happened 2 times, once in December 09 and once Feb 2010. Both times I was told to reset the SMC and the procedure worked. But I would like your opinion whether something insidiously wrong with the SMC or other hardwares in my MacBook 13-inch alum late 2008 model. Or do I need to re-install the OS, which I upgraded it from 10.5 to Snow leopard (10.6) back in Sept. 2009. Thanks.
