Google is still lacking separated fields for first, middle and last names.
This makes contact's handling a mess, especially when synced with other databases like iCal.

Syncing Google calendar to your iOs is painful. If you add a new calendar, you have to go through the process again. I have also encountered problems with Google Sync when not using English as a language (French here) and not using USA as a country.
I resolved all this by using Readdle Calendars. Easy, nice interface. Works on iPhone and iPad.

I don't necessarily believe in a specific written/video article being surreptitious with an exact need at an exact time, but I am becoming a believer. I viewed this this video yesterday as I ALWAYS read and/or watch his masterpieces. "Beep beep, point off for sucking up" (as Phillip Michaels would say"
Anyways, I hit the mail button on my iphone today and for whatever reason, it keep saying that my username/password was not vaild. Did I change it? Nope. Did my wife? Nope! Unless my 3 year old is getting better at typing, I figured either I got hacked or there was a system issue. Well I wasn't hacked, my old password worked fine on the Google site to get in.
To make a long and very boring story shorter (too late) I deleted my google account on my iPhone and tried Dan's method here to try and sync and what do you know? Perfect directions equal perfect results. I know have my mail, calendar, contacts, back on my iPhone and I even got to delete my extra Google Account on the phone now that I don't need it.
Good Job Dan! (Beep, beep) Oh Come on Phil, how am I going to make it to the last round?

This method doesn't seem to work with Google business/enterprise accounts. My company uses @ourdomainname.com email addresses through Google. Everytime I try this method it accepts all my info then constantly pops up telling me wrong password. I've tried my password over and over and I know the password is correct because I can sign in fine with it elsewhere. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. Use your whole email address as your username e.g. yourname@yourdomain.com. It worked perfectly for me.

amerjune - your admin needs to authorize the Google Sync via the Google Apps admin panel. That might be why you are getting an error.
My problem is I cannot get the iCloud calendar entries to show in my Google Calendar. Anyone know how?
