The obvious disconnect that needs more explanation is how allowing for unhindered sharing of information about and from American citizens will protect these companies and the government from Chinese and Russian cyber looters.

it is the equivalent of going thru your mail, self incrimination. What do republicans have against going tho court to get permission for violating your rights?

if they were surprised that explains a lot. This tells me that our politicians really don't read the bills that they vote on. It seems that they never understand until the public creates an outrage about what's really in a bill.
