One of the things I look for in an inkjet printer is some built-in feature that keeps the ink from drying out. In distant past, this was a problem with some Epson printers I owned. For the past 8 years I've been using a variety of HP OfficeJet Pro models that keep the ink warm when the printer is not being used. Any idea how this Epson handles not being used for a week at a time?

"Color scans are good, too, though a tad fuzzy."
This unit has no scanner. Can you clarify this line?

Exactly what I was thinking as I was reading down the article, and exactly why I haven't bought another Epson since my first one dried up about 5 years ago. My Samsung laser has supplemented my Canon inkjets since but the drivers for both are a PITA. Still hoping that Epson figures out its time to move the jets to the cartridges and get me back as a customer.
