Producing a calendar event: news to me! But what you showed did not work; it created a To Do item. I checked Help and found that I have to include an @ sign, e.g., "new event @ 5/27, 10:00 AM".

"press right arrow. The resulting hierarchical menu shows the details for the current track"

Doesn't work for me when I have the iTunes app selected in LaunchBar. Search does work when pressing space though. Is this a plugin of some kind?

Update: This trick only works when you have "iTunes Library" enabled in the LaunchBar index. I had it turned off to remove songs from the index.
