Ipad sale erase or remove SIM card?

Need the answer:

When selling and period to shipping...

Do I remove or erase the SIM card?

If you don't get an answer here right away, Google is a helpful resource.

To save you the trip, remove the SIM card. The person you sell the iPad to will need their own SIM card to activate the wireless service anyway.
