I guess older devices get larger updates, because 3rd gen iPod Touch here, and 650 MB update

I thought there were going to be "delta" updates, but maybe those are only for the most recent devices (iPhone 4 and up)

54.5MB for iPhone 4S.

"The update includes a small handful of fixes. Among them: Taking HDR photos from the Lock Screen shortcut should now work more reliably."

When will they bring this to they iPad? When my iPhone is in the other room and I have my iPad with me, I'd like to quickly access my iPad's camera to snap a photo.

54 MB for me

I'm glad we've got delta updates and all but, seriously Apple, taking >1 hr to download 54 MB is just insane. Everything takes SO LOOOONNGG to download from Apple. I couldn't imagine purchasing HD content from them. And while I'm attacking, how about doing incremental updates with your apps? You're about the only company on the App Store that doesn't. Thanks.

Anyone know if Apple has added privacy setting for the contacts, e-mail, photos, etc. in this update?

Have I mentioned that iOS Software Update is *vastly superior* to updating with iTunes?

40.6MB on my 3GS using iOS Software Update. I have no doubt that it would be 687MB in iTunes.

Incremental updates are only available over the air. If you download via iTunes, you're always going to get the full size version.

It was 40.8MB for my 3GS. (Well, maybe 40.6. I didn't look at the number long before tapping Update.)

60MB for my iPad 2.
I'm glad Apple fixed the "Unable to purchase" thing. It's driving me nuts.
iMac 21.5 inch, 3.6GHz Core i5 (BTO), Mid 2010.

42.8 MB via Software Update for my iPod Touch 4th generation. Long pause at the end of the download. Pop-up message once that was done to let you know that an update is about to take place. Then the device verify's download and restarts itself. The whole process does take some time but is otherwise painless.
