Very nice. But it really seems like ruggedized designs are the last refuge of the point-and-shoot camera manufacturers. iPhone and other phone cameras are becoming the de facto snapshot cameras.

True... Give me a water-proof iPhone and I will happily never look at another point-n-shoot again.

Hey camera companies, want me to buy a point-n-shoot? Then eliminate the shutter lag. When I want to take the picture, I want it now, not 2 seconds from now. Until then I'll use my iphone or dslr.

Honestly I think it's less well spec'd than their previous model. I realize that if you want point and shoot that take HD video then this has some new advances. However I have been using the Olympus Tough mu with a 5x optical zoom and 14 MP screen for a year now, and I don't see hoe this model is better. To those who aren't fans of these cameras, I can only say that if you do anything a bit outdoorsy then these camera are really handy. I've used 3 different models in the past 5 years and they have never let me down. I've even left 3 tough cameras under a glacier for 3 weeks!
