If you live outside the US, those TLD pop-ups may also let you select the TLD for your country (e.g., .ca shows up in Canada).

Actually, depending on what keyboards you have activated, you can accumulate quite a list of options besides .com and .org, no matter where you live!

Very good, thanks. One small problem with #1, I have an App (Cadent winecellarad) on an iPod, that does not respect the foreign characters. For example, when I enter Penedès as a wine region, the display is correct until I save the entry. It then changes to Penedâœ",® Presume this is a coding problem.
Ciao.

Noticed that the 'Reply' system changed the foreign characters even more. So, the original typed work is Pened{e accent-grave)s and it changes to Penede{Check Mark}{Registered TM}s

Wow. I've got the first generation iPad and never realized any of that. Very helpful!

I'd dearly love a gesture or shortcut to the arrow keys, and [Option]-arrow keys that you have on a normal Mac keyboard. I'd settle for just a left-arrow and a [Option]-Left shortcut, so I can quickly get to a word I mistyped....

I can't get that slide your finger up to the number you want and then release trick to work....anyone care to provide a bit more detail on how to pull that off??

If you're referring to item #6, I'm having the same experience with my original iPad. If I start the "slide" below the number I want to insert, I usually end up with the character below. If I tap the number itself and slide upward sometimes I'll get that number with no keyboard change but more often nothing will insert at all doing that. Could landscape versus portrait orientation be impacting this technique?

I'd love for someone to tell precisely where to start and end the "slide" to effect this. Pick a number — any number (like 6) and describe what is needed. Hopefully I (we) can then master the technique from there.
/Marty

"What this article says is so good. Since iPad was born 3 years ago, many accessories, like keyboard cases, were born for iPad. E.G. Logitech iPad Keyboard and Clamcase iPad Keyboard Case are both pretty cool, yet not nood enough and way too expensive. The latest Sharksucker Keyboard Case for JSXL Technology is a great alternative with high quality and good price."
