"In the past, Facebook was a superior event-planning platform because users were sure to check it often enough to catch event invites; with the rise of event spamming, though, more and more of my Facebook-using pals now ignore all Facebook event invitations."

So you're saying there's no way users can filter invitations to only allow specific people (or groups or whatever other organizational tools Facebook offers) to send them invitations?

This article is like saying "you can stop using the phone because the yellow pages are online." FB is FB because everyone uses it. There is no escape.

What's Facebook? No, really? I know one person who "is on Facebook". We all have offline lives, even my FB-loving friend.

I think FB allowing apps to post on behalf of a user as if the user posted is the demise of the platform. Your timeline is fully accessible to the public despite checking the privacy option.

This is the main reason I've stopped using Facebook apps. Letting Facebook promote events or companies without my knowledge is evil.

For me Facebook has lost it's focus in many ways. I am moving more towards Google+ these days. It's not perfect, but the recent Interface changes, and the brilliant iOS app knock facebook of No.1 spot for me.

I am talking most of myfriends to migrate away with me.

I am fed up with the advertising and stupid games and plugins that once mad Facebook different but now makes Facebook annoying..
