Hi everyone...
I'm trying to save a simple .csv file from Excel (Mac) to an external server.
Everything I've read says to simply put 'http://address/filename' in the "SAVE AS" box ..the only problem is that Excel will not allow a colon in the filename. Is there any way around this??
Thanks!

Not really. I have no idea what instructions you're reading, but what you're experiencing is not an Excel issue. It's a Mac one. Colon is the directory separator character for pathnames on the Mac OS and the standard file dialogs don't let you type them. Possibly the instructions you're seeing are for a different platform, or perhaps you're supposed to be using an export command of some sort instead of the normal Save As.... That would be a typical way of offering that feature in a Mac app.
