I have a problem with an iMovie 11 project. I had several hours of clips which I wish to edit and turn into a family movie. I rejected a whole bunch of clips and chose good ones which I moved into the "named" project. I then elected to "move rejected clips to trash" in order to free up space on the computer. While moving these clips to the trash, the dreaded beach ball appeared and, after waiting a long time without resolution, I force quit iMovie. On restarting, all clips in the project are labelled "source clip is missing" and there is no audio within these clips in the project. The original good clips are nowhere to be seen. Is there any way to retrieve these "source clips" and/or to restore audio to the project (it's a series of interviews and the sound is obviously critical). Any advice will be much appreciated.

I've found a solution, if anyone is interested in a similar problem. I went back in Time Machine to a recent day when I knew I had good source clips and restored the iMovie Events Folder from that day to today. Once it loaded in, the clips in my Project all had their source clips and all had audio back. I had great help from the Genius Bar at the Apple store. They are fabulous!
