sounds interesting. And I'm a comcast customer in Boston! ...too bad I won't be seeing this. Why? Because triple play only? Seriously? Nobody I know has or wants a home phone line anymore except my older relatives. I get that this is a nice fat revenue stream for them, but time to move on. We don't want it.

I have a land line and won't give it up. At least I have a phone when the electricity goes out or Comcrash goes down. Which was for 7+ days last October and cell service went to one bar. Never lost my crappy phone.

I have been a loyal comcaster customer for over 12 years I have the Internet and the cable tv I get the 100 mb download speeds my bill is close to $300 a month I have a cell phone I have zero need for a home phone. This x1 service sounds very nice but I tell you what if they say I can't get unless I get the home phone service I'm going to tell them then I don't want any of there services. It is not right to tell a customer that has zero need for a home phone that they can't get this new service then they won't get any of my business

Cool. AT&T U-Verse has had these features for years. And that X1 iPhone app? Nowhere near what the U-Verse app does: guide, DVR, remote, and streaming & downloading TV shows. Not only that, but the TV box is basically a very simple computer, which is probably why all these features have been around for so long. AT&T's version of "triple play" can be whatever services you want, so instead of home phone, my wireless is bundled. Oh, and no data caps. Or throttling.
