When I select the "Open In Finder" option from any of Folder Icons in my Dock the Finder Window does not Open but instead Preview is activated and searches the Folder for any files it can recognise which can take a very long time and opens many, many Preview . I have removed the Dock's Folders and replaced them after a Restart. I have deleted the Dock preferences from ~/Home/Library/Preferences and have done the same with Preview's Prefs. I have also run Disc Utility to repair Permissiions with no luck.

The problem does not occur if I create a Temporary User account.

I'm Running OSX Lion 10.7.4 on a 2008 Intel iMac.

How have you got your dock configured to show folders? I'm not on a Mac to test right now, but it occurs to me that the command might behave differently - operating on the contents vs the folder itself - depending on whether you've got it in "stacks" mode.

Thanks, I had a play around and configured the Dock Folders in both "Stacks" and "Folders" mode as well as changing the various ways they can be displayed, i.e, Fan, Grid, List and Automatic but the problem remains.
