I have a huge problem that I'm hoping you can assist me with. This might be sort of tricky because I know almost nothing about computers but I have to try something.

I have an old system, OSX 10.4.11 running iPhoto 6.0.6 One day when I opened up my iPhoto many of the folders came up blank. I'm not sure I know how to describe this.

When I open iPhoto there is a white area that has the heading “Source.” Under that is the word “Library” and (2851) Under this are little yellow calendar icons for “Early Photos”, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 1012. All these dates are followed by (0) Then there’s “Last Roll” and “last 14 Months.” If I select “Library (2851)” I get MANY of my photos. The dates come up all wrong though but by my estimation everything loads up to around 2009. If I select “Early photos” another hodgepodge of mixed photos loads . . .some of my most recent ones and a few from other years. There really is no rhyme or reason to it. Selecting 2009 - 2012 produce only a black, blank screen nothing shows up at all! “Last Roll (13)” indeed displays my last 13 pics and “last 14 Months” shows zip! Just a black screen.

I read around the Internet a bit and tried the ol’ Option + Command keys while starting iPhoto and I clicked on all those "fix it" options but the problem persists. I downloaded something called “ iPhoto Library Manager” that recovered many photos but not all of them . . . .not most of them!

The odd thing is that the photos are all still there on my hard drive. If I go into Pictures > iPhoto Library > Originals any pic on any roll opens…but I have 1919 rolls! This is a tough way to go through pics especially if I’m trying to locate 1 and they all have names like “DSCN4572.JPG” It’s a hell!

So if anyone understands what I’m saying or trying to say is there any way at all you can help me out? I’m broke and desperate. Thanks.
