Iphone emergency help Please help!

Okay so my friend accidentaly dropped my Iphone3gs in the toliet I tried to dry it out but to no success I then triend to find a place that would fix iphones and eventually found one. but it was broken beond repair so they got a me a a new one and put my sim card in the new one i am on vacation at the moment and I want to resync my phone data to my phone but ive been texting and want to know whether or not if i re sync my back up will the new texts still be there or will they be deleted if they will be deleted is there anyway to prevent that or to add these texts to y old texts back up. Please respond quickly. thanks!

I will try to help, I brought a used I phone I hooked it up to I tunes and Restored it. All of my Text and contacts and everything was but on the new phone. I had no problem with it.
