I have a very old G4 powermac with a noisy GeForce Ti GPU, so I bought a cooling kit - http://www.vantecusa.../view_detail/95 - but it comes with virtually no instructions and involves things like tape and thermal grease... is this something I can do myself, and if so can I find more detailed instructions somewhere? Alternatively, is this something Geek Squad or someplace like that might be able to help with? Thanks!

You're best bet would be to look up tutorials, preferably with a similar card to yours but it doesn't necessarily matter. It's not hard and don't let geek squad screw you with a huge installation fee, definitely do it on your own.

Thanks... actually I just had a hardware-savvy friend help. Installing the kit was easy, but taking off the old fan was pretty scary and required a bit of force. Everything worked out though.

Glad to hear it worked out, even little things like that can be a little daunting, nobody wants to sabotage a component.
