Jeanette complains about Apple's iCloud servers yet says nothing about their proliferation and use of other cloud based services, including anything from Google. We used to keep everything in-house providing what we thought was good security yet now we're being told to accept the secure measures of cloud services, including IBM's. Of course, anything IBM does is secure (they're saving the world) and anything Apple does is not. I don't know why these "experts" should be any more worried about Apple's actions than Microsoft's, IBM's, Google's, Facebook's, etc. I go back to the statement about limited transparency. The IT people feel they know more than Apple's IT people and should be able to change Apple's systems to meet their idea of security. Who's right?
