How does image quality of the PowerShot SX260 HS compare to images from the PowerShot SX40 HS?

I have the predecessor to this camera (SX230 HS) and love it. I will add that the GPS is nice to have, but is a bit slow to acquire the satellites. Unless this camera improves that you will probably want an extra battery or two so you can leave the GPS logger on so you will have a location even when the camera is off.
