I have an IMac (OS is latest version of Snow Leopard) with "Excel 2011 for Mac" software. Having problems with Autofill. I messed with it, and now it's not working correctly. Let's say I put in the number 5 in one cell, and the number 25 in the next. Scrolling down with Autofill should give me 5 times each number, so the next cell after 25 should be 125. That had been working before I messed with it. But now I just get each number increased by one, so I get 5, 25, 26, 27, 28 etc.
If I click on "formatting" on a content menu that appears, it just copies the 25 over and over for each cell that follows. I know about pressing control + click the Autofill handle and dragging it downward and releasing the mouse button and clicking on one of the items on the menu (which is how I messed with it and caused this problem). But that is not working. Growth Trend and Linear Trend on the menu are indented gray, and therefore cannot be clicked. This same problem continues even if I create a new workbook. How do I get Autofill to work properly?
