When clicking on one of the 5 volumes mounted on my computer, I suddenly received the message "The folder “Data” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents." Likewise for the other four volumes. I can open only the boot volume. When I do a Cmmnd-I on the volume name I get the message (at the bottom of the window) that "You have custom access". The privileges are listed and after everyone's name is the privilege "Custom". I cannot change this to "Read and Write". Checking or unchecking the "Ignore ownership on this volume" does nothing. Also, the icon for the volume displays a small lock, thus suggesting this is a Mac-supported operation. These are MY files – including all of my data that I keep on a separate drive.
I have searched these archives for people with similar issues – no luck.
Running OS 10.6.8 on an Mac Intel.
