Seems like that's a two mouser. We're in the market for a home laser printer, realizing that the ink costs associated with our Canon multi-function (MX850), are adding up and most of our home printing is black and white.
I'm looking at the competing Brother printer. Our previous printer was a Brother and lasted six years. We would have kept it longer, but the USB port failed. So, it moved to work where I've got a PC.
In favor of the Brother. Larger sheet capacity (250 pages), lower printing costs (<2 cents/page), and ethernet connectivity. Also looks a bit better and Brother's Mac drivers have been good in my experience.

My wife does a fair amount of printing for work so a couple of years ago I picked up a display model, well-rated Brother monochrome laser at closing Circuit City store for $27. It is fairly quick and does a nice job printing. The only issue is that it often has problems recognizing new toner cartridges, especially the extended use ones.
But I discovered, at least in my own experience, that Brother tech service is very good. They walked me through the process in just a few minutes (it was a low end unit with no lcd so there was a lot of combination button pushing and light sequences that you would never figure out yourself) and back to work. A new, but related problem happened on the fourth new toner and again, got a tech in minutes, ran through a different sequence and back to work.
One of the best over the phone tech experiences I'v had in 2o years.
