For me, Tiny Wings sets the gold standard for what a casual game should be on the iOS platform. It’s simple to control, fun to play, and the in-game mini-challenges you need to conquer in order to level up keep you coming back for more.

There are mini-challenges and leveling up in Tiny Wings?

Yes. You're given three objectives to meet. In my case, I've currently got to reach the eighth island, gain 175000 points and do a good jump after each of 5 island jumps. Once you meet all three objectives, you get a fancier nest and -- more important -- your score multiplier increases.

The difference between Tiny Wings and Ski Safari, is that Tiny Wings makes you complete all three objectives before leveling up. If you complete one objective in Ski Safari, it's replaced by another, which I find a bit more flexible.
