I tried to install the update, and got this message:

Apple Internal Keyboard / Trackpad
Update failed with error code (0x400000a). Failed.

When I tried it again, I was told that the trackpad was up to date. Not very reassuring!

I tried to install the MacBook Pro (Retina) Trackpad Update 1.0 and received the following message:
"This software is not supported on your system."
