Actually I don't know why Apple can't just turn off wifi when it hasn't seen a signal; for 5 or 10 minutes and then just check in every few minutes to see if some new signal is in range. Cell phones do it.... why not wifi devices?

agree with that for sure. I was SURE they'd let Siri turn BT/WiFi/vibrate/silent mode (and now DND) on and off. Just makes so much sense, and it'd be way more useful than the new Siri features they did actually announce.

And yes. Devs can automatically take advantage of the share panel. They just specify the options and apps and iOS handles the rest. They've got really great APIs.
I would like to see a features removed article. I wonder how much there is. Right now (IMO) the switch from Google to Yelp is horrible as yelp's search isn't a good -or comprehensive- and the lack of public transit directions is not good at all. I can't drive and Google does an amazing job with public transit. Plus it worked with Siri.
Other than maps I don't know what features have been lost or removed but I imagine it's not the only one if people start looking.

SBSettings is a handy Cydia app that adds buttons to the notification screen, it's a really fast way to disable 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth, Brightness etc.
It's also about time Apple added location based network settings, i.e. when you leave home or work it could switch to a roaming profile & turn off wifi etc.
I'd also like to be able to selectively delete from the list of used wifi access points as it stands I have no idea what networks my phone will auto join.
I thought 'custom vibration alerts' were already in iOS 5, perhaps iOS 6 lets you assign them to more notifications.
