This is an interesting review but leaves me wondering.

Does the SRS device pass through the Apple volume control and start/stop functionality or does it block it?

Seems like a perfect solution to use across multiple devices, especially if Apple are going to change the dock connector on the next iPhone but if I lose the capability to start/stop and volume, then it becomes less of an ideal solution?

This iWow doesn't attach to the dock connector but rather the headphone port, so you needn't be concerned. All the processing is done post-volume control.

I saw a demo of this product during the MacWorld show earlier this year and they showed it working with smartphone type headsets with the in-line buttons (vol+/- and pause/play/answer) and mic operations passing through just fine. They let me plug it into my iPhone so I could test it out with my own music and this thing rocks! It made my music sound awesome.
