"(These arrows debuted in iTunes 9, if I recall correctly, but were deprecated [sic] in favor of Ping buttons in iTunes 10.)"

I don't get your comment. Is there an issue with the use of "deprecated" in this context? It just means it was superseded by another option or retired.

As for the article, thanks for pointing out this utility,. Doug does it again - he's got some great little scripts and tools.

These are just fine options, but I think iTunes needs to be completely redone. Its the last speck in Apple's eye.

These are fine. Doesn't change my opinion that iTunes needs to be completely we done.

How do I change the way iTunes orders-by-date? Even if I want the latest items to be listed first, 3/10/2009 will appear before 5/10/2012. It is sorting by month before year! If the answer is staring me in the face, I'm missing it.

What about a preference that would disable iTunes prompting me (twice) to login to my iTunes account every time I start the app, even though I only want to use iTunes locally, on my computer, and have no need or desire to login? That is an extremely annoying behavior!

Someone told me that this has been addressed on Macworld site in the past, but I can not find any reference. Can anybody share the link, if, in fact, there was an article or post about that?
