FYI Lex: The ability to rename a document from the title bar apparently requires apps that support Auto Save, so far as i can tell. You cannot do it in Word, for example, but it works fine in Pages.

Peace,
Gene

The sidebar is returning in Calendar!? Now, if we could just eliminate the pop-up window that's used for editing/creating, that would be great.

What I would like to know is if Apple will be dropping security updates for Snow Leopard once Mountain Lion comes out this summer.

Gee, I hope these are better than the "more than 200" new features Lion was supposed to have. (200 more bugs than Snow Leopard is a more apt description.)

However one piece of foolery still seems to be there in the latest Mountain Lion builds. The "Share" button now includes "Add to Reading List", "Add Bookmark" [how is that sharing?], "Email this Page", "Message" and "Twitter", but does NOT include "Email Link to this Page".

Hooray for the return of save as. I had to switch from TextEdit to iText Express to stay productive with simple text files. Simple stuff I used to do in Preview (resize and save in different format) was such a headache I had to use Photoshop instead and just deal with the load time.

I wonder if they will ever go back and restore any of the hundred or so other things they trashed in the past (ranging from the keyboard/mouse combination for stepping through folders to making iMovie as novice friendly as it was originally designed to be).

On my copy, it says "Email this Page."

"Reading List, which debuted in Lion (OS X 10.6), is a Safari..."

May want to correct this line. :)

<<and drag-and-drop file transfers in Screen Sharing.>>

I was surprised last week to find this working bidirectionally between 10.7.4 and 10.6.8. I inadvertently dragged a file past the edge of the screen sharing window and released it, and lo and behold! the file appeared on the local desktop.

It kind of didn't surprise me that 10.7 supported this (clairvoyant, I guess) but seeing 10.6.8 participate floored me.

I see "go full screen on any monitor" on that slide. Yay!

drag-and-drop files in screen sharing might be a small addition, but it will prove incredibly useful!

The one I'm worried about is QuickTime Player 7 Pro compatibility... I don't know what I'd do without that piece of software!
