Isn't that what Apple just announced on Monday? Strong tie-ins with Yelp.

Siri has always used Yelp for local business searches, in iOS the results will be more in-depth. Currently Siri just provides an extremely brief description of each listing and you click on one to take you into Yelp's app. That will change in both Siri and Apple's Maps, they will provide full blown business "cards" with more information including reviews without needing to go into the Yelp app. So yeah, it seems like Yelp is giving Apple border access to their data.

Other than GMail and Chrome, I can get along with no GOOG products and not feel deprived. And even Safari's catching up (as in unified URL/Search bar).

As all these "free" things like Google search, YouTube and facebook get "monetized" they become more intrusive, cluttered and skewed to push their rev model - causing the user experience to degrade and pushing those of us who notice these things away.

Bing's still in catch-up mode (for now) and so a bit less of most of the above. And works for me. Even without (and maybe especially without) "+1"! And I can always try both (and others) if I'm not finding what I want.
