Is there any way to remove the yellow tint other than swapping it in the Apple Store? Is it caused by the glue or what?

How old is the phone? There is a known issue with the glue on iPhones that gives the screen a slight yellow tint for the first few days before it cures completely. It should fade on its own relatively quickly.

If it doesn't go away, contact AppleCare.

However, if you are comparing it to an older iPhone, this is normal. Apple has increased the yellow tint over time, to produce warmer colors.
