One HUGE omission left out of this article is the fact that new Spotify users MUST use Facebook to set up an account and log into. This is the main reason I will never use Spotify until they ease up on this requirement. I don't need everyone on Facebook knowing what I'm listening to. NEXT?...

Also, this is currently only for US users.

The Spotify desktop app has the look and feel of software ported from the Windows universe: unattractive, unintuitive, uncooperative, feature deficient. For that reason, I prefer the iOS version. For me, the only glaring defect of Spotify for iPad has been the lack of Pandora-type radio functionality. Until yesterday. After using Spotify radio for a day, I'm happier with it than I expected to be, and much happier than I am with Pandora for iPad.

I'd like the ability to change the thumb-up/thumb-down tag for individual songs--in case I tap something by mistake or my musical taste changes over time. And there ought to be a link to purchase any song. Other than that, I think Spotify did a good job.

btw, I've never linked Spotify to my Facebook account, and have had no trouble logging into Spotify.

If you got in early, as I did and I assume you did as well, you could create an account without having it be your Facebook account. They changed their setup later on to only allow account creation with a Facebook account.
