Hello community,
just wanted to know if I had adequate performance, compared to other people with the same model.
I ran XBench, and got a 222.79 total score, as well as ~78MB/s read and write from Blackmagic Disk Speed Test application.
Does these digits seem decent for a non-SSD MacBook Pro?
What kind of numbers do you guys get?

MacBook Pro 8,1, 16GB, 500GB
Mac OS X 10.6.8 as main OS (Thanks, trusty old BlackBook!), 10.7.3 for playing around.
Politely tell Apple what they did wrong with Mountain Lion: give them feedback!

Which specific model? There are multiple 8,1 configs with very different speeds. I think those numbers are probably reasonable for a slower model.

Hi bastion,
this is the 2.8GHz i7 running on 8GB RAM + 500GB Scorpio Black HDD. I ran the same test right after a reboot, and still got 222.08.
It seems the lowest score is the Disk test, with 76.32, owing to very poor random uncached read and write at ~20 with 4K blocks. Disk is only half-full, so that shouldn't be a reason.
So, how it seems?
