FCC rules might tighten up use of cell-signal boosters

Once again, someone tries to justify allowing corporations to stifle both growth and the customers abilities under the assumption that corporations will be benevolent.
"In situations where there’s no other way to improve coverage, carriers would probably let their subscribers use the device, Jarich said."
The word "probably" means that Mr. Jarich doesn't know what he's talking about. If there is any chance a provider will lose one penny through the use of these devices, they will say NO. What's worse is that they will say NO even before they know if it will hurt their bottom line or not.
The fact that the case was brought by signal providers is another indication that they came out with boosters before they realized the potential for profit that they would be sacrificing. Then they went to the FCC hoping they could get the government to look like the bad guys when they pulled support from their products.

Everyone get ready for a cell provider branded "booster" for your devices. You will have to buy one through them for an outrageous price and probably pay monthly access fees to use it so you can boost your signal. This really never ends for them does it? I used a booster at home for my 4G Jetpack to ensure top data transfer speeds. I don't have any idea why I would have to notify them that I am using it. How would they stop me if I didn't tell them? They won't.
