A similar headline like "A Zippo Lighter lets you Burn Down Your House" seems to illicit the same response from me: why would I want to?

Android is developed on the Mac so why not?

Given that there are a few Android apps I'd like to run, and given my lack of an iPhone or even Android phone, but my ownership of a Mac, this is a mildly appealing product. Looking forward to the first commercial version.

Hope it's affordable. Else, might be fun to just buy one of those nifty lil' Nexus tablets for $199 next month, to play with.

Not trying to be snarky. This is a legit question.

This could eventually open me up to all the Android malware out there, could it not?

illicit = illegal (adjective)
elicit = to obtain (verb)

For better definitions look them up (or look up illicit vs. elicit.)

I, for one, would want to because I don't have/own anything that runs Android. I'm not a developer, so that's pure curiosity on my part.

Isn't that statement somewhat akin to saying "if I buy a crate of grapes, I might get a rotten grape, but if I buy a crate of peaches I'll never get a rotten grape". After all, your Mac can run MS Office, a wonderful suite of malware, for one example.

This is a bit like "Simulate drum brakes on your BMW". Thanks, no.

I'll pass on both. I don't need either. Very, very happy with iOS.

Busted. I'm usually the one pointing out the same errors for others. I stand corrected. I always score perfect scores on the 'effect/affect' tests that are out there. Should have caught this one.
