I like the convenience of wifi as long as it doesn't interfere other spectators. As consumers, we also need to remember we are at an event and if we're paying more attention to our devices, we might as well be elsewhere. When I went to the Roger Waters show at AT&T park, a guy a few rows up was using Skype and streaming the concert to perhaps a family member. This was annoying considering his phone's back light was making it difficult to see the the concert visuals.

Someone shared a story with me of a girl in a state park; she walked up to one of the landmarks of the park, took time to take a pic or video, finished and walked away without actually taking it in herself. While this may be a problem with a younger generation who is growing up with this technology, the overall issue right now of overuse by adults I would mark up to the infancy of the tech: everyone wants to use it because they can. That will die away some as it ages, finds its niche and become ubiquitous. Until then, people will try to utilize it for EVERYTHING, including watching a ballgame.
