Note that the developer updated this app in late June with changes that, among other things, removed the rewind feature n

Can't agree more. Considering it's free via browser, and free on the iPhone, this is WAY overpriced, by whatever the cost of the app is.

I would just hold out until a client is released, or use the web broswer on Pandora's site for free.

Also found a free Pandora app for Mac which will work just as well.

For some people, the additional features and value it provides over, say, the official Pandora desktop app will easily make it worth $8, especially if they listen to Pandora regularly. If it's not worth it to you, that's fine, but $8 isn't a lot to pay for a good app.

You mean Pandora's service can be accessed via a Web browser, right? Because the features this app provides aren't available via your Web browser.

Have you actually used Streambox? I've used the Pandora desktop app for Mac. It's not nearly as nice as Streambox, PandaBar, PandoraBoy, or PandoraJam.
