After setting up Time Machine with a new WD Mac Essentials 1 Tb hard drive, Along with the WD Backup icon, I now have another icon titled "Backup Sparse Image 10.94 GB" appearing on the desktop. Does this icon need to be kept where it is, moved, or what?

Thank you

Doesn't sound normal. Is it still there after a restart? What is inside it?

Tried a reboot; still there. Unable to open it. Howver when I double click on the icon, it makes another copy of the backup icon.
