Wow. $25 a license and you have to have a separate license for each computer. I think I'll stick with Teleport.

Teleport has one other advantage over the others, and that is it allows for mouse gestures to be passed to the machine you are currently using. To me, this is the big win for it, as I use those daily for navigating my many screens in Lion.

Check out type2Phone, which basically allows you to use your Mac as a bluetooth keyboard for an iOS device.

And it can take the clipboard with too.

Teleport has worked great for me at times. And then other times it gets buggy and updates are not quickly released. When this happens, but can destroy your workflow. This is what happened to me. That caused me to take a closer look at ShareMouse. It gets updated very frequently. And, though absurdly over priced, it has been more reliable for me over the long haul.

I use to be a major devotee of Teleport. But serious debilitating glitches forced me to move several months ago.

I also bought the j5 Wormhole, a USB based keyboard and mouse sharing solution. I found it to be clever but the software lacks refinement and was giving me reliability issues. I actually tried the Wormhole before I finally gave up and spent the green on ShareMouse.

I have been using the Wormhole Switch by j5 Create for some time with success. The only issue I have with it is that the machines won't boot up with the USB cable plugged in (firmware problem). It allows sharing of the wireless keyboard and I use it with the Magic TrackPad. It also transfers the clipboard contents between computers. It even transfers the clipboard contents between Mac and Windows, and it correctly translates most MultiTouch gestures of the Magic TrackPad on the Windows machine. You simply pair the keyboard and TrackPad to your desktop Mac and plug the cable into your 2 computers. The software installs automatically and you're all set. Also, their tech support was very helpful when I had questions, which were solved by a software update. Its the best $40 I have spent in a long time.

For those who can do without Bluetooth, many KVM switches work just fine with wireless USB devices. I am currently using an ioGear KVM with a Logitech USB mouse and solar keyboard. Two taps of the Control key switch between my Mac mini and MacBook Pro.

Try the Logitech Solar Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard, K-760. It has 3 dedicated bluetooth keys to switch back and forth between your Mac, iPhone, iPad or even a PC. And it uses even low light for power!
