Got an email notice from Macware last week about 6 apps for $49.99. Thought I would take advantage of it today (at the last possible moment, of course).

Anyone know if this sale is legit?

In the process of placing my order, on the page where you input your CC number, I notice there was no padlock icon in Safari. Since the padlock icon indicates a secure transaction site, I decided to cancel out and closed the page before I input my number.

The lack of the padlock icon has me concerned that I may have been very close to being scammed.

Just to follow-up, I went directly to Macware's site and noticed a link there, which I did not notice on a previous check of their site. I clicked it instead of following the email link.

Just to double-check things on the order page, I placed an order (but did not follow through with actually ordering) and I notice the lock icon does appear in Safari, but then disappears very quickly. Odd. Maybe I'm having a Safari issue, but theres' no lock icon at all in Firefox.

Anyone else have anything on this?
