I had a friend record something for me on her iPhone. I gave her an e-mail address to send the file to, but for some reason it -- on more than one attempt -- arrived in my iPhone's text messages instead. A language barrier is making it difficult for me to work this out with her, so I'm trying to work out a way to get that text messaged file to my Mac.
The only way I've been able to do it is to e-mail it, but the problem is that the file arrives in my inbox as an .amr file, with significantly worse sound quality than the original copy on my iPhone. I need to get the file to my Mac without any loss of sound quality, but I can't figure out what's going wrong with e-mailing. Do I have any other options?

There is not much you can do if the file itself was recording in .amr format right? Unless you convert it, which would be pointless since it began with a lower quality.
