That pricing is ridiculous.

OmniDiskSweeper = free and does a good job at identifying issues. Although you can't be a newb and use it. That pricing seems a little high for a file cleaner.

Word of warning: after purging the extra languages from the Micro$oft Office suite applications, they were no longer recognized by Micro$oft's updater, and I had to re-install the whole suite, and re-run update after painful update. Your mileage may vary.
Cheers, Tristan

I've seen that issue before. Your experience is in line with previous reports.

Analogy: If I install thinner baseboards in my house, I can regain useable floorspace.

And if you paint the walls a couple of times you lose what you gained.

A few alternatives, Onyx, and if your scared of that, use CCleaner which has been on Windows for years and came to the MAC this year.

Agreed! Family Pack? Where are we, in the 1990's! Sorry I will have to pass! :)

Onyx is another free alternative which is very handy.

I wrote a similar app that makes your mouse cursor different colors. Thinking of charging $99.99 for it.

All these commercial cleaning apps seem silly to me.

Experienced users do it all manually, or already know about free apps.

Novice users won't know what any of it means, and could easily delete the wrong things.

Stay away from utilities like this. They generally do more harm than good, particularly the ones like this one that go into Application bundles and delete "unnecessary" languages and binaries. This is fool's gold, not a gem.
