Mountain Lion crashes iPhoto

Yesterday I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mtn. Lion on my iMac 27, with 16 Gigs memory. It apparently included the latest iPhoto update since I have ver. 9.3.2 installed. Now iPhoto crashes. When opened I can make a single click on something and then get the spinning beach ball with nothing working. Have to Force Quit. I tried going back to 9.3.1, but the system won't let me, saying a newer version is installed. Any help will be appreciated.
