Samsung argues against Apple's sanctions request

Yeah, and we try to avoid hearing the outcome of the Olympic games before we can watch the competition playback in prime time, but we don't live in a cave and often cannot avoid hearing results too soon though we try. Samsung knows this and is mocking the judge when it says she would have to assume that the jury will violate her instructions about voiding the media wink wink. Samsung is steamrolling the judicial process.

One minor correction: Samsung is trying to steamroll the judicial process. It remains to be seen as to whether or not the judge will see through their ruse, and come up with an effective argument against their actions. Quinn's intentions are truly as transparent as they come -- to anyone who is (ahem!) "permitted" to read all of the media reports on this matter, at least -- but unfortunately, he's also very good at the legal obfuscation game. Judge Koh is really going to need to have all of her ducks in a row, in order to prevent Quinn from successfully appealing whatever ruling she eventually hands down.
