Now that the url and search boxes are combined, what happened to snapback? In Lion when I did a google search and followed a link or two, I could use snapback (the little arrow at the right end of the url bar) to go back to the search results. Now I have to do multiple swipbacks or use the back arrow at the top left corner.

Also in Lion with Safari, you could use the delete button as a swipback gesture. I know gestures are the new way of doing things, but that delete key thing is still burned into this kitty's paw and memory.

I think I read somewhere that CMD-OPTION-S will still operate snapback. Not tried it yet though.

New folder bug with mail, safari... Keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste text in a new folder dialog box do not function. Control click pop up menu does allow copy/paste. Also export in Preview to a tiff format only exports page one.

Now for the good news(?) Has anyone else noticed their Mac being more responsive after upgrading to Mountain Lion? My early-2008 MacBook Pro certainly seems to be.

I upgraded the system with an SSD a few months ago and that naturally sped things up considerably. But the additional speedup with ML is an unexpected plus. Speculation: maybe ML is smarter about cacheing things, which might be especially noticeable with a solid-state drive. Or maybe ML runs the CPU hotter, which would explain the decreased battery life that many people have apparently seen (haven't checked mine).

After installing Mountain lion on my 27" iMac it has refused to boot. Instead it shows a software loading bar which takes 10 mins to fill then shuts the machine down. have tried booting in safe mode but it will not let me in just repeats the process

Forge the bluetooth kernel panic on wake, what about those of us who can't even get bluetooth functionality? My magic mouse will connect, and I have point and click functions, but no multi-gesture i.e. no page scrolling. Pretty f***** annoying. Under System Report, the bluetooth tab shows "No Information Available," and the bluetooth option in system prefs is non-existant. There are numerous threads concerned with this issue in the Apple Support forums and on other sites as well, but none of the listed "fixes" worked for me. Hopefully this is fixed in 10.8.1, because I have since gone back to SL. Not being able to scroll was a complete deal breaker for me.

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, my Dock now has question marks for iChat, iCal, Address Book, and an old copy of iMovie HD. Curiously, there are no Dock icons for their replacement apps (Messages, Calendar, and Contacts).

I cannot get rid of these question marks no matter what I do. On a tip in the Apple forums, I tried deleting com.apple.dock.plist and quickly rebooting. No dice. Help!

I'm having trouble with Finder. Folder content doesn't refresh. Once a folder is opened in Terminal all files show up.

I'm finding that Apple Logic Studio is a disaster after upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. There are many users in the Apple support forums with the same issues.

During playback, if I make changes to any plugin window, Logic's GUI becomes unresponsive and no further keyboard or mouse input is registered. It usually takes 20-30 secs to come back, sometimes never, requiring an application kill. Sometimes the whole Mac will hang. This is replicable using Logic's own plugins, so it's not a 3rd party plugin issue.

Apple's pro music app is completely unusable to many current users and so far there has been no acknowledgement from Apple.

My "new mail" sound, a .wav file I've always used, does not work on Mountain Lion. What gives?

If I <Shift>+<Edit> to get "Copy Picture" in Excel and then paste this table into Mail, Mail crashes in Mountain Lion. Has anyone else had this issue at all? It was working fine in Lion and all previous cat iterations.

I feel like Quarkexpress shuts down unexpectedly more often now that I've installed Mountain Lion.
