Hi Im a new member.

I have an iMac and on the Apps icon at the bottom of the screen on the Dock bar there is a little round number 2 in red.
So thinking these are updatesI click on the icon and in the Apps screen that opens and above the OS X Mountain lion advert there is an update icon also displaying 2 updates?
I click on this and the system comes back with "No Updates available"
Anyone any ideas please?

Is that number, by any chance, on your Mail icon in the dock?

If it is, it's the number of unread messages you have.
