Hi,
I have created a document in Microsoft Word and have added a background colour. When i open print preview i am able to see the background colour, however, when i print the document the background colour does not print out. I have tried everything i know to rectify this; to no avail.
Can anyone provide a solution to my problem?
I am running Lion OS and using Microsoft Word for Mac, version 13.3.3
Regards
Ian

Word's support for background colors is mostly meant for on-screen presentations. I'm not familiar with the latest release, but in the prior one there was an option in the preferences window that toggled printing of the background. Probably still in there somewhere.

This isn't the latest release. Word 13.x is better known as Word 2008. The current release, Word 2011, is Word 14.
Try this:
1. In the Print dialogue box, select the Microsoft Word pane through the menu (third item down from the top, right across a horizontal line about 1"/3cm down from the top).
2. In that pane, click "Word Options..."
3. In Word Options, click "Print background colors and images" in the bottom ("Options for current document only") section.
If you've already tried that, or if it didn't work, please post again. (Please post again if it works, too.)

I had follow the steps mentioned above and it had worked for me.
