Help
Hello Group.
I am a new Mac person and need some help.
I was using Dashboard and must have hit something (I do remember unchecking something about "only use sound on Dashboard") and don't have sound anymore. I can't find a way to get it back on or to get to that "only use sound" prompt. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

Open Dashboard, find the widget that has the sound control (you have to press the little i) and change the preference and see if that works.

Thank you, Sandbag1, for your reply. I have tried to open Dashboard and find an i but there isn't one.
I get the calculator, calendar, clock, and weather. None of them have an i.
Still no idea of any other place that has a sound level adjuster that isn't showing volume control.
???

Are those the only Widgets you have in Dashboard? Because if you have more it would be good for you to use your mouse to hover over the lower right side of each and look for the italic I that may show up. Check again on both Weather & Clock and you will see the italic I I'm referring to.
Have you looked into System Preferences at the Sound Preference to make sure it's not muted or the wrong output chosen? Are you using external speakers? Did You accidentally pressed on the mute key?
