Not in favor of anything that merges personal emails with their search results. That's a zero tolerance for failure situation because a failure would mean other people see your email in search results potentially. This is completely unnecessary for most people IMO. How often is it when you search the web, that you also want to find emails relating to your subject? In almost 20 years of browsing I can't think of even a handful of instances. This is was Spotlight search is for.

I agree with you completely, Photonerd. I suspect those who find Google's latest grab at every element of a users life to be "an exciting concept" either work for Google or are under 25 years old.

I am with you. Little of what Google is up to I find exciting. Mostly I find it frightening. I avoid using anything from Google except search, web analytics (although I am rethinking that) and ads (both buying and selling). Letting them anywhere near my email or documents has little appeal for me. The generation that blithely posts everything on FaceBook and Twitter has yet to learn the consequences, and I prefer to not avail myself of that particular lesson!
