I've just lost both usb ports on my MacBook (2006 13-inch white MacBook running Snow Leopard) after plugging in a new powered 7-port usb hub. Have always used a mouse and now have to use the trackpad which I'm not comfortable with as I don't know most of the gestures. I've searched all over to find any instructions for all the different gestures and can't find anything anywhere. Can anyone give me a link to some full instructions? Would also like to hear from anyone who had the same problem with usb ports being knocked out by a powered usb hub.

The Trackpad on the 2006 MacBook is not true multi-touch and doesn't support gestures. You click by tapping on the pad, double-click by tapping with two fingers at once, and scroll by moving two fingers up or down the pad. These are the only gestures supported by your hardware. You can turn any of these on or off from the Trackpad Preference Pane.

Yes, Gestures was not the right word, I know. I'm doing the basic clicking you refer to but there are other things I need to do which I'm working out by trial and error so it would be nice to have a list of all the things I can do with this 2-button trackpad. Dragging windows, folders and files on the desktop for example and highlighting text are some that spring to mind but there must be others. Some require the bottom button and some don't.
