VPN Connection

Hi,
I have a well working VPN connection, using PPTP, from my iOS devices to my server. However, if I use the exact same settings from either 10.7 or 10.8, it does not work. The login window keeps on popping up and asks for my password.....

Any idea? What's the big difference between iOS or OSX in this regard???

Oh my, really nobody?
I have even tried switching off iCloud with no effect. C´mon Apple....
